We have all been there, right? We set beautiful goals for the year, for the month, and for the day – but nothing happens! Is the problem with the goal itself? More often than not the issue lies in the planning that will allow us to make the goal a reality. None of this should be news to you, but HOW DO WE FIX IT?

We don’t have to work harder, just with more intention. The key to any thriving desk is working a balanced day – of course, this balance will shift depending on your current workload. You may have a ton of assignments and need a majority of your day to be spent on recruiting quality candidates, but we should NEVER omit any part of the plan altogether. The proven daily plan that we advocate is below. It has worked for 35 years and can work for you!

• 8:15-8:30 Morning Strategy Session as a Team
• 8:30-9 “A” and “B” Relationships
• 9-9:30 Match and Presents
• 9:30-12- PLATINUM HOURS
◦ New Marketing Calls 9:30-11
◦ Follow Up Marketing Calls 11-12
• 12-1 Lunch
• 1-1:15 Send Follow up LI Message from the morning connections
• 1:15-1:30 - Reference Check Call (which can lead to BD)
• 1:30-3:30 - PLATINUM HOURS
◦ 1:30-2:30 New Recruiting
◦ 2:30-3:30 Follow Up Recruiting
• 3:30-4:30 - Prep Calls and Catch up on Emails and more LinkedIn
• 4:30 - 5 - Plan for the next day

This is the basic layout of a BALANCED DAY. This is the cornerstone of success in this business.
